I believe therapy should be…

  • Connecting

We are suffering both individually and collectively due to disconnection from self, others and the world around us. I help people to accept themselves, their history and reconnect with themselves. Greater vulnerability and intimacy with self allows us to connect more deeply with others and build the relationships many of us long for, experience the joys of everyday life and create meaning in our lives.

  • Trauma-Sensitive

Given the prevalence of trauma in our communities, I bring awareness to the possibility of past trauma including both personal and systemic with each person I work with. I am also sensitive to how trauma manifests and how to approach working with traumatic material.

  • Inclusive

My goal is to provide therapy that is inclusive of each person’s body, race, ethnicity, gender identity, religion, and sexual orientation. Understanding white cultural conditioning, white privilege and my own biases has been a commitment of mine for more than 20 years. My hope is that this work allows me to be present for the experiences of others and how each person is impacted by society. I bring humility to this work that is a lifetime of learning.
