Style

As a licensed Marriage and Family therapist I use my clinical training, over 25 years of spiritual practice, and my own humanity to best support each unique person I meet with. As a psychotherapist I am trained in relational therapy, object relations theory, and mindfulness-based therapy. I bring heart and humility to my relationships with my clients.

Education

After receiving a BS and MS from Stanford University in Earth Systems, the study of how humans interact with the Earth, I returned to graduate school at the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) where I received a Masters in Integral Counseling Psychology in 2012. The program at CIIS emphasizes clinical training while also integrating an understanding of mind, body, spirit and culture. In 2023 I completed the Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program with Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach.

Spiritual Practice

My meditation practice helps to inform the work I do with my clients directly or more commonly it allows me to stay present with clients so that I can listen carefully and respond to what they need. I have practiced and taught mindfulness meditation for over 25 years as well as studied in the Diamond Approach for more than 10 years.
